The ultimate Wyoming cycling experience held annually the second weekend in September. Courses weave through the red desert, historic mining towns, follow the tracks of Oregon Trail up to South Pass and Atlantic City, across to Louis Lake Road through forests and along a lake, and through Sinks Canyon State Park to end back in Lander, WY for an afterparty sponsored by Melvin Brewing Company!
NEW COURSE LENGTHS FOR 2022!
This is a self-supported race, except for 4 designated checkpoints at mile 20, 60, 90, and 103 where your crew can assist you. Stocked Aid Stations at miles 36.5, and 60. Checkpoints will be minimally stocked. Participants must check in at the designated checkpoints prior to the cut-off times to help ensure your safety. Each participant should print off a set of Cue Sheets and a Route Map, with optional download of the GPX for use with your cycling computer.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
5:30 am – WYO 131 Check-in and deposit Drop bags for aid stations at Lander City Park (405 Fremont St.)
6 am – WYO 131 START
8 am – Cut-off time: Mile 20 (Kia Espresso in Hudson) (WYO131 only)
9 am – 70-Mile START
10 am – 40-Mile START
12 pm – Cut-off time: Mile 60 (Highway 789) (WYO131 only)
1 pm – Mile 60 Shuttle Pick-up location (WYO131 only)
3 pm – Cut-off time: Mile 90 (Miner’s Grubstake/Atlantic City) (WYO131 only)
4 pm – Mile 90 Shuttle Pick-up location (WYO131 only)
4:45 pm – Cut-off time: Mile 103.7 (Louis Lake Resort) (WYO131 only)
2-7 pm – Afterparty sponsored by Melvin Brewing Company. Awards, food, booze.
