LANDER—TEDx is going to bring some “untamed” ideas out of the woods in Wyoming’s Wind River Country this month.

Lander will host a TEDx event May 25 at the Lander Community Center 5:30–9:30 p.m. Six local speakers will bring ideas worth sharing to the community and online.

TED is an annual event that brings together the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline — technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business, development. The talks at the conference, called TED Talks, are then made available to watch for free on TED.com. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Wyoming’s Wind River Country is home to some remarkable people with valuable ideas that should be shared with the world. Many of them have developed and put to practice their exciting lessons in the wilds and the communities of Wind River Country.

The six local speakers are Anne Magnan, director of NOLS custom education; Darrah Perez, author and student of psychology; Jessie Allen, wilderness guide and guest ranch manager; Jim Culver, horse trainer and educator; Lantien Chu, coach; and Trevor Ragan, founder of Train Ugly and development/performance science.
