Join us to view and discuss the Emmy-nominated film “The Art of Home: A Wind River Story,” which focuses on two indigenous artists reflecting on their tribal homelands.
In the film, celebrated artist Ken Williams (Arapaho/ Seneca) and artist Sarah Ortegon (Shoshone) explore what it means to be a “native artist.”At the film screening, local tribal elders from the Northern Arapaho and the Eastern Shoshone tribes will provide historical context on the arts and crafts of their communities, passed down through the ages, as they encourage young artists to stay connected to their roots.
