Only In Your State featured Wyoming’s Wind River Country in the article titled “Explore The Lesser Known Side Of Wyoming On This Three Day Getaway.”
The three day itinerary takes you from Jackson to Dubois, where you’ll explore Togwotee Pass, the Cowboy Cafe, the National Bighorn Sheep Center, and the Torrey Lake area. Heading southeast, the route takes you through the Wind River Reservation, past Crowheart Butte, through Fort Washakie and into Lander, where you’ll find the Fremont County Pioneer Museum, Cowfish, the Lander Bake Shop, the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary, Sinks Canyon State Park and the Loop Road. The Loop Road meets up with Highway 28, where you’ll continue to Atlantic City and South Pass to explore Miner’s Delight and dine at Miner’s Grubstake.
