The National Museum of Military Vehicles will host Shayne Jarosz, Executive Director of the Iwo Jima Association, for a special two-hour presentation about the Battle of Iwo Jima. His presentation, “Iwo Jima, Past, Present, and Future: Why This Iconic Battle Still Matters to the United States,” will explore the significance of the Battle of Iwo Jima, the island’s place in modern history, its return to Japanese control, and developments there today.
This event is included with regular museum admission on July 5 and is free for annual members. A lunch buffet will be available for an additional fee. No reservations are required. Visit www.nmmv.org for full event details.
