Join The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming for one of two community hikes at Red Canyon Ranch and learn about one of the most recognizable landscapes in the Lander area.
Hikers should meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Bomgaars parking lot (275 Grandview Dr.) to carpool to Red Canyon. Please wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and jacket.
The Friday hike will be approximately 2.25 miles long with about three hundred feet of elevation gain. Expect to be back at Bomgaars around noon.
The Saturday hike will be approximately 5.5 miles in length and gain about one thousand feet in elevation. There is some travel on uneven terrain. Expect to return to Bomgaars around 2:30 p.m. Please leave your dogs at home for both hikes.
Dates: Friday, May 30, 2025 (shorter hike) or Saturday, May 31, 2025 (longer hike)
