The NMMV and CWC Presents: To the Point - A Short History of the Bayonet

National Museum of Military Vehicles and Central Wyoming College Presents: To the Point – A Short History of the Bayonet.

Bayonets have been used by soldiers since the advent of firearms and have taken many forms over the centuries. This program will introduce you to those developments and designs while allowing you a hands-on examination of real historical artifacts. The National Museum of Military Vehicles “hands-on history” programs are “bag lunch” programs- feel free to bring your own lunch and spend the entire day at the Museum.

Instructor Rae G. Whitley, a curator at the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois, WY, will lead you through each of these hands-on history programs. His many years as a public historian and U.S. Army veteran, provide a unique and fun “edutainment” experience. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to feel history as he shows you artifacts while explaining their historical relevance. This “preview” opportunity will allow you to encounter the items before they go on exhibit.

Tickets are $10 and are available at cwcdubois.eventbrite.com.
