“Sheep Shearing Day”
Visit the Pioneer Museum in Lander for this Bailey's Tire and Auto Children's Exploration Series program. Sheep shearing Day is all about sheep, sheep, sheep! Explore the history of the sheep industry in Wind River Country. Witness actual sheep shearing, pet sheep, make crafts from sheep's wool, buy products made from sheep's wool and more! Where is the Book Nook? The Book Nook is located in the Lander Library on the lower level of the Carnegie Building and is accessible by stairs and elevator. What is the Book Nook? The Book Nook has a good selection of used books in all subject areas, DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and, often, games and puzzles. The Pioneer Museum welcomes, Jess Oldham, owner of the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary for a Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series program on May 2nd at 6:30pm Learn about the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary and the impact wild horses have made on our history, as well as today. Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary is a working ranch and this is an opportunity to learn more about what they do. This program is free and open to the public.
