Where is the Book Nook? The Book Nook is located in the Lander Library on the lower level of the Carnegie Building and is accessible by stairs and elevator. What is the Book Nook? The Book Nook has a good selection of used books in all subject areas, DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and, often, games and puzzles. From wheel-thrown vessels to hand-built sculptures, this exhibition is open exclusively to pottery and clay mediums. Tuesdays from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 7 p.m., Fridays from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Unleash your creativity with Lander Burton in this dynamic watercolor class at the Lander Art Center. Designed for beginners and those looking to refine their skills, this course combines the beauty of watercolor with inspiration from still life, landscapes and art history. Through hands-on projects, you’ll master the basics of watercolor technique, explore color theory and learn to compose your own unique works of art. Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from January 21 to April 15.

Find out more »Fur Felt Cowboy Hat Making
Learn about the history of the Stetson Fur Felted Hat. Work starts with a pre-formed body and uses traditional tools that students make. Tool making, 3D-printed hat forms, wet forming, steaming hardening, brim cutting and sewn sweatbands are covered. Cost is $85. Class meets every Thursday from February 6 to March 27.
