Night of the Living Books
The Yablonski Memorial Library Open House is “Night of the Living Books” with costumes encouraged. Come as your favorite character from a book or story. Cash prizes for the first 50 people who arrive in costume. Everyone is welcome.

Every year, the Shoshoni Recreation District hosts an annual haunted house in the basement of the Senior Center. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. $5 per person, or $3 with a canned food donation.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church was recognized for its cultural importance and for its significance for Folk Log Construction and was accepted on the National Register of Historic Places on Dec. 11, 2023. To celebrate this achievement, on Oct. 27, 2024, Rt. Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, Bishop Assisting, Diocese of Wyoming, and Rev. Charles Clarke of St. Andrew’s will unveil a commemorative plaque. Where is the Book Nook? The Book Nook is located in the Lander Library on the lower level of the Carnegie Building and is accessible by stairs and elevator. What is the Book Nook? The Book Nook has a good selection of used books in all subject areas, DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and, often, games and puzzles.
