“National Bighorn Sheep with the Riverton Museum”

The National Bighorn Sheep Center is coming to the Riverton Museum to educate on disease prevention among sheep. The day features fun, educational games prepared on the topic and an activity where kids can pretend to perform tests on sheep. The Riverton Dutch Oven Club will join to demonstrate the wide variety of dishes that can be prepared in Dutch ovens. This event is free and open to the public. Visit the Riverton Museum to see local philatelist Stan Grove. Stan traces the early history of Fremont County and some of its leading figures through a unique and extensive assemblage of postal artifacts, compassing the South Pass gold rush days, the establishment of military forts and Indian agencies and the exploring of small post offices through the early 1900s. This history is contextualized by a broader sampling of Wyoming postal-history items. This event is free and open to the public.…
