Visit this amazing historic home located in Lost Cabin. J.B. Okie, a sheep tycoon, built this beautiful home in 1901. In 1882 at the age of 17, he borrowed money from his mother and built an empire in the Wyoming sagebrush. Registration required - limited tour bus seats.

Uranium mining and milling was Riverton’s most important industry for almost three decades in the mid-1950s. The Gas Hills population was roughly 2,000. Jeffrey City was a bustling town of around 5,000. In this all-day trek, we’ll be exploring the area’s most important uranium areas. We’ll walk around where this metal was first discovered in the Gas Hills. Visit the Gas Hills’ three uranium mills, several mines, and some of its larger settlements, as well as some other interesting sites.…
