Headwaters Arts & Conference Center High Country Extravaganza
The Headwaters High Country Christmas Extravaganza is back for two festive days of holiday fun, local shopping and community cheer! Featuring decorated gingerbread houses and a Christmas tree silent auction. $20 entry fee for each decorated gingerbread house and/or Christmas tree. Children's polar express story hour is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. Photos with Santa are also on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. Refreshments provided by Headwaters Arts & Conference Center.

Where is the Book Nook? The Book Nook is located in the Lander Library on the lower level of the Carnegie Building and is accessible by stairs and elevator. What is the Book Nook? The Book Nook has a good selection of used books in all subject areas, DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and, often, games and puzzles. Scandinavian immigrants were hired as tie hacks to cut logs throughout the Wind River region. Many of their traditions were incorporated in Dubois history. Grain was important, and an ancient Scandinavian tradition was that the first bundle of grain that was cut was kept for decorating the home during Christmas. Enjoy the parade at 5:30 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Lander. Lander Independent Baptist Church will be serving free cookies and cocoa before the parade at Centennial Park. After the parade, head to the Lander Valley High School lobby for free cookies, cocoa and a visit from Santa!
