Events throughout the week include community outreach, a special podcast episode highlighting the CDT (released Thursday, Aug. 28, at windriver.org/podcasts) and a community hike on the trail with veteran CDT hikers Nikki Mann and Jeff Wohl of Lander on Saturday, Aug. 30.

Thru-hikers can enjoy a special $10-off coupon at the Dance Hall/Gift Shop at South Pass City State Historic Site.

The community hike will meet at the Dance Hall at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30. Nikki and Jeff will lead visitors on a moderate two to three mile hike along the CDT. For more information, visit southpasscity.org.

This celebration is hosted by the Wind River Visitors Council and South Pass City State Historic Site in partnership with the City of Lander, the Central Wyoming Climbers’ Alliance and local supporters of the trail.
