Run The Red – Trail runs of 22k, 45k,120k. The Red Desert is a uniquely Wyoming Landscape—one blanketed with sage, carved with colorful badlands, rich with wildlife, and steeped in cultural and historical significance. Volunteers, families, and friends are all welcome. Details at runthereddesert.com.

Originally conceived to honor the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act of 1964 and the 30th anniversary of the Wyoming Wilderness Act, Run The Red has become an annual celebration of Wyoming’s wildest places.

4:30-6:30 PM — Race Check-in at South Pass City Historic Site
6-6:30 pm — Free yoga offered by Ananda after pre-race meeting 


Saturday, September 28th
5:30 am — Start of 120K
8:00 am — Start of the 45K 
9:00 am — Start of the Half-Marathon
9:15 am — Jeep Tour of the Northern Red Desert with Friends of South Pass
9:30-2: 00 pm —Stewardship opportunity with Wyoming Outdoor Council
12:00 pm — Nature hike with John Mioncynski from South Pass to English 
1:00 pm — Guided Tour of the Flood and Hindle Trails 
2:30 pm — Guided Tour of the Carissa Mill
3:00 pm— Slow Flow Yoga offered by Ananda
4:00-5:00 pm — Guest speakers Clare Gallagher, Martin Blackburn, and John Mioncynski.
5:00-5:30 pm — John Mioncynski on Piano 
6:00-8:00 pm — Low Water String Band
12:00 pm —Race Courses Close


*Food Service from 2pm-8pm, and beer served from 3:00pm-9pm.
