Fremont Haunts by Alma Law
The Riverton Museum hosts Alma Law’s annual Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speaker Series, Fremont Haunts. Alma will be presenting scary stories and urban legends from Riverton and the surrounding areas.

Why do we carve pumpkins around Halloween? What is the origin of Halloween? Let’s answer those questions and more as we get into the holiday spirit and carve some pumpkins. $3 per child. Advanced registration is required. Materials will be provided.

Visit the Riverton Museum and see the dozens of carved pumpkins donated by local businesses. Admission is free and open to the public. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available.

The Riverton Museum is holding its 8th Annual Fall Fun Fest as part of the Bailey Tire/Pit Stop Children’s Exploration Series. Families are encouraged to stop by in their Halloween costumes to visit the museum and enjoy crafts, games, cookies and hot chocolate.

Fremont County Museums: First Fridays
Take the kids to any of our Fremont County Museums (Dubois Museum, Pioneer Museum in Lander, Riverton Museum) on the first Friday of every month from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for free admission with at least one paying adult. This program is sponsored by State Farm in Lander (Justus Jacobs) and State Farm in Riverton (Tyler Watson). Happy First Fridays!

Patton Veterans Project hosts an 'I Was There' Film Workshop. Using collaborative filmmaking as a therapeutic pathway for veterans coping with post-traumatic and other service-related stress. Friday 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the National Museum of Military Vehicles.
