“Castle Gardens Adventure Trek”
The Riverton Museum will host Craig Bromley for this Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek Series. View the petroglyphs at Castle Gardens and learn about the Bureau of Land Management’s efforts to preserve them. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Riverton Museum at (307) 856-2665. $20 per person. This trek requires a good amount of walking. Transportation is provided round trip from the Riverton Museum. Everyone is responsible to bring their own sack lunch and water.

The National Museum of Military Vehicles is hosting its inaugural Honor and Remember Service. The goal of the Honor and Remember program is to perpetually recognize the sacrifice of America’s military fallen service members and their families. All honorees have a Wyoming connection. For guests who also wish to tour the museum, there will be no admission charged on September 11.

Lander was known as the “Apple City” for the high number of orchards and the apples – an important part of the agricultural economy in this area. A wonderful part of Lander’s history will be explored with speakers, an apple pie contest (cash prizes), local apple cider and apple samples, kids crafts, and a petting zoo. The Pioneer Museum in Lander is hosting its annual Halloween Night at the Museum again this year as part of the Bailey Tire/Pit Stop Children's Exploration Series. Both evenings are filled with frighteningly cool decoration, spooky stories, crafts, hay rides, hot coco, treats and a campfire for roasting. Costumes are encouraged, children of all ages are welcome. Cost is $4 per person.
