Riverton Museum: Bates Battlefield Trek
Step back in history and visit the battlefield where a raid on an Arapaho encampment took place in July, 1874. Carpool to the site of the battle. High-clearance vehicles such as SUVs or Crossovers are highly recommended. Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek. Registration required.

Find out more »Lander Pioneer Museum: America Solar Car Challenge Race-POSTPONED TILL 2021
A race between vehicles powered only by their solar panels and a reserve battery race from Nebraska to Oregon following the famous Oregon Trail. 14 teams from across the globe parked participated in the last race. The Pioneer Museum will be the race stop and start location during the leg of the race.

Art Exhibit – “Native Americans of Wyoming’s Wind River Country”
Enjoy a prestigious exhibit of historic western art: “Native Americans of Wyoming’s Wind River Country," by painter Joseph Scheuerle. Featuring tribal members from many Rocky Mountain tribes including members of the Shoshone and Arapaho from the Wind River Reservation, WY.
