“Trails Through Fremont County”
Join the Riverton Museum on this Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek with Craig Bromely to some of the famous, historical trails that passed through and around Fremont County. This trek will involve some driving and walking. Everyone is responsible for bringing their own water and lunch and is responsible for providing their own transportation. National Bighorn Sheep Center has partnered with Wyoming Native Plant Society to offer a botany hike specifically for our members! Join Dubois’ favorite locals, Meredith Taylor and Lynn Stewart, for a wildflower hike in the East Fork area of Fremont County. We hope phenology cooperates for a stunning display of bitterroot, but we may also have opportunities to check out blazing star, Prince’s plume, indian paintbrush, and others! The Shoshone District of Wyoming State Parks is excited to offer summer camp at Sinks Canyon State Park. Wyoming State Parks Interpretive Rangers will guide campers through activities, along trails and into the water to explore all that Wyoming has to offer. The Wind River Visitors Council and the Journal of Lost Time present a van life and overlanding event series in celebration of gathering in beautiful places. The event takes place from June 23 to 26 in Hudson. The WRVC has arranged county-wide excursions, which can be booked directly through the businesses providing them. Sublette Pass History Trek
Join the Dubois Museum on this WRVC Adventure Trek. Hike the trail of the early explorers through Sublette Pass starting at Wind River Lake and ending at Brooks Lake. Difficult hike, approximately four miles. Bring bear spray, bug spray, hiking boots, trekking poles, water and lunch. Advanced registration required. (307) 455-2284.

The National Bighorn Sheep Center and the Dubois Museum collaborate every year on an educational hike to an area sheep trap.
