Jurassic Classic Mountain Bike Festival

This course takes runners through the beautiful Sinks Canyon State Park. Runners scramble up and down the canyon walls, on both developed and primitive trails, through sagebrush meadows, conifer forests, alongside the Popo Agie River and up to dolomite cliffs known worldwide for climbing. Every September, hunters gather in Lander and compete in the One Shot Antelope Hunt — a competitive hunt that pits eight three-man teams against each other. The task of each team member is to harvest a pronghorn antelope with one shot. The One Shot Antelope Hunt is an 82-year-tradition with a powerful alumni list. 11th Annual Coyote Hunt
The hunt starts one half-hour before sunrise and ends one half-hour after sunset. All coyotes must be brought to the Shoshoni Recreation District Building and weighed in by 6:30 p.m. The cost is $60 per team, and teams are made up of two people. $5 per person for mangiest mutt contest.
